Overview
The FUYL Kiosk app is available for iOS 17 and later, and recommended for use on iPad generations 7 - 11. The app allows both secure access and configuration of the FUYL Smart Locker system when set up in the FUYL Enhanced Portal.
Prerequisites
A Compatible iPad
The FUYL Kiosk app is available for iOS devices 17.5 and later. We recommend an 11th generation iPad for the best experience, though the 7-10th generation & iPad Pro 11" are also supported.
A FUYL Enhanced Organization & Admin Credentials
You or your FUYL Administrator will have been given access to your FUYL Enhanced portal. If not, please contact support for next steps.

iPad Configuration
Bluetooth Permissions
The FUYL Kiosk App will ask for permission to use bluetooth when first required. This is used to discover and communicate with nearby FUYL Lockers. If this is ignored or otherwise disabled;
- Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
- Scroll down and select the FUYL Kiosk App (e.g., “FUYL Kiosk”).
- Tap on Bluetooth.
- Ensure the switch next to Bluetooth is turned on (green).
Guided Access Mode
As the FUYL Kiosk iPad will likely only be used in the FUYL Kiosk App, you may wish to restrict end users from exiting the app, and ensure the screen stays illuminated. Guided access mode is one way to achieve this:
- Open the iPad's Settings App
- Navigate to "Accessibility" then "Guided Access"
- Tick the slider next to "Guided Access"
- Configure either a passcode or touch-ID to enable/disable (should it be required)
- Configure the display auto-lock feature
- Return to the FUYL Kiosk App
- Triple-press the power button
- Tap "Start"
The iPad will be "stuck" in the FUYL Kiosk app unless the power button is triple-pressed again and a correct passcode/touch-ID is entered.
The LocknCharge FUYL Kiosk Mounting Kit prevents access to the power button, which prevents Guided Access Mode from being disabled.
Putting the app in Guided Access mode may prevent automatic updates from being applied. To keep your app current, we recommend manually applying updates regularly or managing updates through an MDM. If your iPad is enrolled in MDM (e.g. Mosyle or Intune), automatic updates can be enabled by scheduling downtime to disable App Lock or Guided Access temporarily, sending an Update Apps command during this window, then rebooting and re-enabling kiosk mode. For devices not enrolled in MDM, manually exit Guided Access to update the app via the App Store before reactivating kiosk mode.
Single App/Kiosk Mode
You may wish to further limit your FUYL Kiosk iPad to only the FUYL Kiosk app. This can be achieved with iOS Single App Mode, which must be configured in your MDM.
FUYL Kiosk App
Once installed, sign in with your FUYL Enhanced Admin Profile's credentials.
If your account belongs to multiple organizations, you may be asked to select the organization to which this FUYL Kiosk will belong.
Once signed in, you may be presented with a "No workflow detected" message. This is normal, and suggests the FUYL Kiosk has yet to be paired with a FUYL Smart Locker, or that the locker it is paired to has not been fully configured.
