Overview
Every bay runs one workflow at a time. Which workflow that is can be set bay by bay, or left to the system to balance between linked workflows. Either way it is done from the View tower screen on the FUYL Kiosk.
Static bay allocation
When allocated statically, each bay is configured with a specific workflow. Admins select which workflow is allocated to each bay in the View tower screen on the appropriate Kiosk, and the chosen workflow determines how the bay (and any devices populated) behave.
- A workflow allocated to a bay guarantees predictable availability, but can be inefficient when combined with other workflows - eg repairs linked with loans
- This method ensures predictable, controlled access, ideal for static scenarios and low-variation environments - eg a fixed pool of loan devices
Bays must be empty before changing their allocated workflow.
Dynamic bay allocation
Dynamic bays differ from static by allowing locker space to be flexibly allocated between linked loan, repair, and deployment workflows. The system intelligently alternates between these linked workflows to maximize bay utilization.
