Overview
The Device Deployment workflow allows authorized users to collect a device that has been made available to them, without an administrator needing to be present. This article covers the steps a user follows at the FUYL Kiosk to collect a deployed device.
The button labels shown below are the defaults. Administrators can rename them to suit their organization, so the labels on a Kiosk may differ from those used here.
The user flow is identical for both Self-Service and Admin-Initiated deployments.
- The user approaches the FUYL Kiosk and selects "New device"
- The user authenticates (SSO or Login ID as configured)
- If authorized, a corresponding bay opens and the user collects their new device before closing the bay. The longest available devices are prioritized to ensure level and rotation.
- The device and deployment statuses are updated in the admin dashboard, and any configured notifications are delivered.
