Set Up a Charging Workflow

The FUYL™ Locker offers a secure, self-service charging solution for devices. Your locker operates in two modes: Managed and Public, each offering a simple way for users to securely charge their devices.

Select a Mode of operation

The FUYL Locker has two modes of operation:

1. Managed Mode: In Managed Mode, users need to enter a predefined PIN code or RFID value to access the locker. This mode provides controlled access, ensuring only authorized users can charge their devices.
2. Public Mode: Public Mode allows users to set their own PIN code every time they use the locker. This mode offers flexibility, allowing users to personalize their access code for each charging session.

To select the mode of operation, follow these steps:

1. Log in Log in to the LocknCharge Cloud
2. Select the locker Select the locker to manage from the connected lockers list
3. Open the Settings tab In the account panel on the right, find and select the Settings tab.
4. Choose the mode Within the Settings tab, you'll find the option to toggle between Managed and Public modes. Select the desired mode based on your preference.

Charge your device at a locker

To use the locker to charge a device, follow these steps:

1. Select a bay Select an available bay (green LED) by entering the bay number on the keypad
2. Enter credentials Enter user credentials 
   1. Managed Mode: Enter the PIN code or tap an RFID card associated with their user credentials in the User Directory
   2. Public Mode: Select a 4-12 digit PIN code or tap any RFID card. Pin numbers can’t be sequential (1234) or repetitive (1111)
3. Bay opens The bay door will open (LED turns from green to red).
4. Insert and charge the device Insert the device you would like to securely store and charge into the open bay and connect the charging cable.
5. Close the door Push the door closed to lock and secure your device (LED turns white)
6. Bay stays reserved The bay will remain reserved until the device is collected

To collect a device that is charging in a locker, follow these steps:

1. Select your bay Access the bay you reserved earlier by entering the bay number on the keypad
2. Enter credentials Enter user credentials 
   1. Managed Mode: The user must enter the PIN code or tap an RFID card associated with their user credentials in the User Directory
   2. Public Mode: The user must enter the 4-12 digit PIN code or tap any RFID card they used to reserve the bay earlier.
3. Bay opens The bay door will open (LED turns from white to red)
4. Collect the device The user must retrieve the device and other items from the open bay.
5. Close the door Push the door closed to lock (LED turns green)
