The following guide will help to assign a bay or bays to one or more users or groups. If users require secure access to a dedicated bay over multiple sessions.
Configuration
- Ensure Users (and optionally Groups) are configured in the PC Locs Cloud. See the User section for more information.
- Select the Locker to manage from the Connected Stations list
- In the account panel on the right, find and select the Settings tab.
- Within the Settings tab, you'll find the option to toggle between Managed and Public modes. Toggle to Managed mode.
- From the Connected Stations list in the Dashboard page of the PC Locs Cloud, select the locker on which to configure assigned bays.
- In the Right-hand side panel, select a bay to assign to a user.
- Select the Users tab.
- Toggle the inherited/overridden switch to overridden configure the bay exclusively.
- Click Authorise Users and select users or groups for which to assign access to the bay.
- Click Authorise Selected to save the configuration.
- Repeat to manually configure additional bays.
Access a long term bay
To use the locker to access a long term bay, follow these steps:
- Select the assigned bay number
- Enter the assigned PIN code or tap an RFID card associated with their user credentials in the User Directory
- The bay door will open (LED turns from green to red)
- Push the door closed to lock (LED turns white)
To reassess the bay, follow these steps:
- Access the bay you reserved earlier by entering the bay number on the keypad
- Enter the assigned PIN code or tap an RFID card associated with their user credentials in the User Directory
- The bay door will open (LED turns from white to red)
- Access the bay
- Push the door closed to lock (LED turns green)
Note: If assigning multiple users to a bay, only one user will be able to access the bay at a time.
Note: The Classic & Advanced subscription tiers also support bay assignment via our API if configuration via a third party application or automated script is preferred.
